Cori is one week old!!

It's amazing how fast time goes...it's hard to believe that she has been here for a week already. She is a great baby though and hardly cries...now only if I could get her to sleep longer at night. :) Chad and I are adjusting to having two kids but love every moment of it...even if it means Jaxon has ripped all his clothes off and pooped in his bed ( I don't know if that is terrible twos or acting out..) Jaxon is a great big brother and it is so sweet to see him get concerned if Cori is crying or in distress. We can't go anywhere without his baby! Jaxon is such a big boy now. I want to think of him as my baby still but he is all grown up. Cori is very peaceful and sweet...life is great!

Cori Jean has arrived!

Cori was born at 1:16 am Wednesday morning weighing 8 lbs 11 oz and was 20.5 inches long. It was a quick delivery, about 3 pushes, and she made her big debut into the world. She is the spitting image of Jaxon (of course with a bit of femininity) and so far has been a very good baby! Jaxon loves her and tries to show her how to be a "big girl." It's exciting for her to finally be here!

Movie Night

Last night, we rented Alivin & the Chipmunks and had a movie night with Jaxon (our first attempt). He loved it. Chad picked up a few treats at the store and we popped popcorn. He LOVED it. I think he ate the whole bowl of popcorn. Just enjoying a few last one on one moments before we have this baby. It was lots of fun!

The weather has been sooo nice here this past week and Jaxon has been living it up at the pool. Chad's parents put a pool in last year with solar heating so this week the pool water has been in the 80's. Perfect for swimming. Jaxon's a little afraid to be in the water but is getting braver when his daddy is around. I can't wait to be about 50 pounds lighter and join them!!

What we've been up to....

I was driving home from work Monday morning and I called Chad to remind him that Jaxon needed to wear something green for St. Patrick's day. When I got home....he was wearing a Celtics basketball outfit playing hoops. What a stud....

Lots of Easter festivities. We had a party with our playgroup and my family celebrated this past weekend. Other than that..just trying to get ready for baby #2. Hopefully it's sooner than later!

Jaxon's Latest...

Jaxon has a little "OCD" and his latest game is gathering any blankets he can find, all of his animals, and as many books as he can and he just sits in random places around the house. He organizes and reorganizes them and will not let me touch anything. Like he has a special place for everything. It's quite funny. He seems to just follow me around the house and make his little mess. It keeps him entertained for hours so I can't complain!
This is one of my favorites! I wish I could say that he is potty trained...but he just likes to sit on the potty. He tells me he has to poop but won't sit on the potty. I ask him if he wants to but he tells me no. His daily routine now...before his shower...is to sit on the potty. It is too funny! If only he actually used it for it's real purpose!

He is always kissing my belly and anytime we say "baby cori" he gives her kisses. It is so adorable (if he really only knew what is coming his way!)
